Book Review: No Remorse by MaryLynn Bast

This use to be on my old book review blog and since that blog is no longer active, I am moving the posts here. I love supporting other authors.

***Disclaimer: I received this book for free to review. I was not paid for this review.***

Reading the first chapter I had a hard time finding any sympathy or connection to the heroine. She’s a werewolf that kills humans. Not a typical shifter heroine. Most heroines that are shifters that I’ve read or written don’t kill people. So I had a difficult time relating to her or liking her at this point. Even if the guy she kills was kind of a douche.

However, by chapter two I liked the heroine given the situation Mr. Douche put her in. After the first chapter, I got so into the book and loved the characters and the plot. I fell in love with the heroine and the hero. They really connected as a couple and I felt like I truly knew them and rooted for them the whole way.

My heart ached for her when she had to first leave her mom and then leave Blake when she ran away from the safe house. But then to find Blake again many years later…I cheered. I so wanted these two to have their happy ending and I wasn’t disappointed. The only thing keeping me from giving this book 5 stars are a few inconsistencies I found. Beyond those, I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good paranormal romance. I give it 4 stars.
